The Department of Hindi was established in 1961. The department offers undergraduate course in Hindi. The department achieves 100% results in most of the years. The department maintains a library consisting 650 books which include various Criticism, Dictionaries and Journals. The department has strong alumni. All the five faculty members are Ph.D. holders. Various efforts have been taken by the teachers to motivate the children and inculcate human values. The need for improving the language skills is clearly communicated to the students. The department has been conducting a certificate course in Spoken Hindi for the past several years. The department has conducted a national seminar on 'Contemporary issues reflected in Indian Literature'. One day seminars and Hindi Day celebrations are conducted on an annual basis.
