Women's Study Unit
The Women’s Study Unit (WSU) at N.S.S. College Pandalam plays a pivotal role in fostering gender sensitivity and empowerment among students. Established with the objective of addressing gender disparities, the unit acts as a crucial platform for raising awareness, promoting gender equality, and encouraging the holistic development of women in the academic community.One of the primary functions of the Women’s Study Unit is to educate students about the socio-cultural, economic, and political challenges faced by women. Through seminars, workshops, and discussions, the unit creates a space where students can engage in critical thinking and discussions about gender issues. These activities broaden their understanding and encourage them to challenge stereotypes and contribute to a more inclusive society.

Parent- Teacher Association
It is a statutory body constituted in accordance with the directions from the Government with the Principal as the President and a parent who is the elected representative as the Vice- President. The PTA Executive Committee comprises six members from the teaching fraternity and five members among the parents in addition to the president. The Association envisages the wholesome development of the personality of students. It encourages the students to nourish their innate aptitudes through constructive interference. PTA provides opportunities to develop leadership qualities of the students and tries to protect them from all fissiparous activities. PTA encourages the students of the institution through Merit awards, Endowments and scholarships for the students who excel in various fields and also provides sessions on Career development and placement. It helps in improving the infrastructure of the college and offers all support for creating a congenial atmosphere for the teaching-learning process. The activities of the PTA are regulated by the Secretary and Treasurer alongside the members of the committee. The accounts are regularly maintained with annual audit by a Chartered Accountant.

Alumni Association
Alumni association plans to channelize and transform the good will of the Alumni into creative and meaningful co-existence. A new programme —”Second Home Coming”— is currently running in the college in which the prominent alumni of a Department will get a chance to re-visit the college and address the students of the department. The venture is highly appreciated by the current students and the alumni. Similar programmes, to share the academic resources and expertise of our alumni are waiting for implementation.

Student’s Grievance & Redressal Cell
Genuine grievances of students relating to academic and non-academic nature are being discussed and redressed by the Grievances Redressal Cell. Both academic and personal problems are closely monitored. The students also have the opportunity to positively participate in the activities of the cell by using the suggestion box made available to them.

Anti Ragging Cell
Ragging is a criminal offence as per the Supreme Court verdict. Ragging in all its forms, within or outside the institute/campus is totally banned. An anti-ragging cell functions in the college and it strictly monitors the activities of the students in the campus. The complaints about Ragging can lodge to the Principal office or dropped to the Complaint/Grievances box made available to them.
