The formation of a knowledge society was one of the paramount objectives of post independent India. The pioneers like Bharatkesari Sri Mannathu Padmanabhan had boldly declared that social justice can be achieved only through education. It was for the fulfillment of this dream that he started working to make education universal by establishing educational institutions all over Kerala through the Nair Service Society.

Blessed with the grace of Sri Mannathu Padmanabhan, N.S.S. College Pandalam literally follows the Upanishad saying "Sreyo hi Jnanam Abhyasath". Established in 1950, this college is located in the center of Pandalam city in Pathanamthitta district and it always enjoys the position of one of the prestigious premier institutions of NSS Management. Enriched with more than 2500 students, more than 120 faculty members and several undergraduate and postgraduate departments, this institution is selflessly immersed in the mission of imparting knowledge with social commitments to the hearts of people.
