The college is having a publication division to publish academic materials for the students, research scholars and the faculty and the division has to its credit a few publications every year. The division has published two Handbooks—Handbook on Social Service and Extension Activities; Clubs under CBCSS and Handbook on Open courses. The publication division has already published two booklets, Research Projects-Funding Agencies in India and abroad, one for Science and the other for Social Sciences and Literature. Science Chronicle is an interdisciplinary biannual journal with ISSN 2319-6955. The journal aims at extending and integrating various studies in Science. Naturally, the scope of journal covers all aspects of Life science, Physical Science and Chemical Science. It provides a forum for scientists, researchers, scholars, academician and other individuals connected with Science to share and extend their scientific works and to find the strategies of similar works done. A Journal for Literature, Culture Studies and Media initiated by the PG Department of English, N.S.S. College, Pandalam. Published biannually, it features studies related to Literature, Films, Media and Culture as well as reviews of recently published works in poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction. Marga is dedicated to excellence in writing and it aims to discover the most promising new crop of writers, to publish their works alongside the eminent writers, and to promote research activities.
HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT CELL
The mantra of the moment is ‘knowledge society’, teaching, learning and sharing is the need of the hour. The NSS College teaching fraternity through Human Resources Development Cell (HRD Cell) hopes to reach out and forge a symbiotic relationship with the outside academic community. Human Resources Development Cell (HRD Cell) in the college also supplements the curriculum programme for moulding the students into responsible citizens. The Cell organizes interdisciplinary classes during zero hours and free hours. The programme of the Cell in the college is intended to develop leadership qualities in students.
