The college is having a publication division to publish academic materials for the students, research scholars and the faculty and the division has to its credit a few publications every year. The division has published two Handbooks—Handbook on Social Service and Extension Activities; Clubs under CBCSS and Handbook on Open courses. The publication division has already published two booklets, Research Projects-Funding Agencies in India and abroad, one for Science and the other for Social Sciences and Literature. The publication Committee is now in the task of bringing out FOUR academic journals-Science, Language and Literature, Economics and Commerce- this year itself.

Marga

A Journal for Literature, Culture Studies and Media initiated by the PG Department of English, N.S.S. College, Pandalam. Published biannually, it features studies related to Literature, Films, Media and Culture as well as reviews of recently published works in poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction. Marga is dedicated to excellence in writing and it aims to discover the most promising new crop of writers, to publish their works alongside the eminent writers, and to promote research activities.

HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT CELL

The mantra of the moment is ‘knowledge society’, teaching, learning and sharing is the need of the hour. The NSS College teaching fraternity through Human Resources Development Cell (HRD Cell) hopes to reach out and forge a symbiotic relationship with the outside academic community. The HRD Cell put forward a resource pool and a host of subjects with a wish to share the experience and expertise. For more details see the brochure-Collegium, the domain of debate and discussion.

Human Resources Development Cell (HRD Cell) in the college also supplements the curriculum programme for moulding the students into responsible citizens. The Cell organizes interdisciplinary classes during zero hours and free hours. The programme of the Cell in the college is intended to develop leadership qualities in students.
